The Public Transport Council (PTC) has concluded the 2017 Fare Review Exercise. With the roll-over quantum of -1.5% from the 2016 Fare Review Exercise, the fare adjustment quantum to be considered for this year’s exercise is -5.4%.

Over 1,200 commuters have benefited at Outram Park MRT Station so far Commuters at Outram Park MRT Station will now have more opportunities to lend a helping hand to fellow commuters in need. In response to positive feedback, “Heart Zone” and “Heartwheels”, two co-creation trials by the Public Transport Council (PTC), in partnership with SBS Transit, SMRT and Singapore General Hospital (SGH) Campus, have now been extended till 31 December 2017.

The Public Transport Council (PTC) has commenced the 2017 Fare Review Exercise. Train operators may submit their fare applications to PTC for consideration by 29 September 2017.

The Public Transport Council (PTC), SBS Transit, SMRT and Singapore General Hospital (SGH) will launch two trials at Outram Park MRT station - the “Heart Zone” and “Heartwheels”. The two trials will take place concurrently from 14 August till 15 September 2017.

As announced earlier by Senior Minister of State for Transport, Dr Lam Pin Min, an advisory panel chaired by Mr Richard Magnus, Chairman of the Public Transport Council, and Mr Sitoh Yih Pin, the Government Parliamentary Chairperson for Transport, has been set up on 30 June 2017 to consult stakeholders and look into how our land transport system can be made more family-friendly.

The Public Transport Council (PTC) has commenced the review of the public transport fare adjustment formula and mechanism. We target to complete it by the first quarter of 2018, and apply it starting from the 2018 annual Fare Review Exercise.
